We delete the data arising in this context once storage is no longer necessary, or restrict processing if statutory retention obligations exist. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the online offering more user-friendly and effective overall.

3.1 Use of cookies

(3) Use of cookies: a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:
  • Transient cookies (see b)
  • Persistent cookies (see c)
b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser. c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings. d) You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Otherwise, you would have to log in again for each visit.

4. Additional functions and offers on our website

(1) In addition to using our website for informational purposes only, we offer various services that you may use if interested. To do so, you generally need to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service and for which the data processing principles mentioned above apply. (2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. They have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and are regularly monitored. (3) Furthermore, we may pass on your personal data to third parties if participation in promotions, competitions, contract conclusions, or similar services are offered by us jointly with partners. Further information on this will be provided when you provide your personal data or below in the description of the offer. (4) If our service providers or partners are based in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

5. Objection to or withdrawal of consent for the processing of your data

(1) If you have given consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal affects the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have declared it to us. (2) Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you may object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary, in particular, for the performance of a contract with you, which is presented by us in each case in the following description of the functions. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as carried out by us. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and will either stop or adjust the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we will continue the processing. (3) Of course, you may object at any time to the processing of your personal data for advertising purposes and data analysis. You can inform us of your objection to advertising using the following contact details: by email to datenschutz@aap-ndt.com or at our postal address with the addition “Data Protection Officer”.

6. Newsletter

(1) With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current offers of interest. The advertised goods and services are specified in the consent declaration. (2) To register for our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after you register, we will send you an email to the email address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. In addition, we store your IP addresses used and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify possible misuse of your personal data. (3) The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional data, marked separately, is voluntary and is used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. (4) You may withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare the withdrawal by clicking the link provided in every newsletter email, by email to info@aap-ndt.com, or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the Legal Notice.

7. Use of Google Analytics

(1) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website use and internet use to the website operator. (2) The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google. (3) You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. (4) This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in shortened form, so that they cannot be linked to a specific person. Insofar as the data collected about you is personally identifiable, this is therefore immediately excluded and the personal data is thus deleted without delay. (5) We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. (6) Third-party provider information: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001. Terms of use: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html, Privacy overview: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html, and the Privacy Policy: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. (7) This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. You can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your usage in your customer account under “My data”, “Personal data”.

8. Embedding YouTube videos

(1) We have embedded YouTube videos in our online offering, which are stored on http://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. (2) By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned in Section 3 of this statement is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want the assignment to your profile at YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or tailoring its website to needs. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact YouTube. (3) Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the Privacy Policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and settings options to protect your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

9. Use of Google AdWords (remarketing / conversion tracking)

(1) Our website uses the Google AdWords service. Google AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). (2) We use the remarketing function within the Google AdWords service. With the remarketing function, we can present interest-based advertisements to users of our website on other websites within the Google Display Network (on Google itself, so-called “Google ads”, or on other websites). To do this, user interaction on our website is analyzed, e.g., which offers the user was interested in, in order to be able to show targeted advertising to users on other pages even after they have visited our website. For this purpose, Google stores a number in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google Display Network. This number, referred to as a “cookie”, is used to record visits by these users. This number is used to uniquely identify a web browser on a specific computer and not to identify a person; personal data is not stored. You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s Privacy Policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/. (3) Furthermore, within the scope of using the Google AdWords service, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer/device. These cookies expire after 30 days, do not contain personal data, and therefore do not serve personal identification. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. (4) You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, you can deactivate interest-based ads on Google as well as interest-based Google ads on the web (within the Google Display Network) in your browser by activating the “Off” button at http://www.google.de/settings/ads or by deactivating them at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ . Further information on your settings options in this regard and on data protection at Google can be found at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/?fg=1.

10. Use of Google Maps

(1) This website uses the “Google Maps API” of Google Inc. (Google) to visually display map material. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the websites. The terms of use for Google Maps can be found under “Terms of Use for Google Maps”. Further information on Google’s privacy policies can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

11. TeamViewer/PCVisit or other remote software access

(1) During remote access to any PCs outside the ownership of AAP-NDT, our employees act in accordance with the requirements of the established company policy. No data is stored unless this has been confirmed in writing by the owner. It is possible that personal data may be visible during remote access and hardware & software support. As mentioned, AAP-NDT employees are obliged not to store any data or information without the user’s written consent.
